“It doesn’t matter how strong your opinions are. If you don’t use your power for positive change, you are indeed part of the problem.” Coretta Scott King

It takes a lot to destroy a state. Or a country. But we have politicians who are good at it.
Take Kamala Harris. “Be patient.” That was the advice Mamala-Kamala gave to people in California who lost everything last week.
“It’s critically important that, to the extent you can find anything that gives you an ability to be patient in this extremely dangerous and unprecedented crisis, that you do,” World Salad Kamala said Monday, during a White House briefing on the Los Angeles wildfires.
Patience is a virtue, but it’s poor form to advise “patience” to people whose houses have just burned to the ground.
It’s so sad.
But maybe it’s not. At least Kamala is transparent. And so is Gov. Newsom. At least they tell you what they won’t do.
And then you can see who they are.
Nancy Pelosi may be a political shrew, but you always know where she stands.
Sen. Chuck Schumer may need to read from his notes to summon up emotion to talk about the “End of Days Fires” in California, but at least you can be reassured that Chuck will never change.
Life in America has become a mirror image of George Orwell’s book “1984” under Barack Obama. It only got worse after Joe Biden was elected president.
In the Orwellian world, nothing could be illegal as laws didn’t exist anymore, and the government ruled through propaganda, surveillance and torture. Sound familiar?
Today people have become accustomed to government propaganda, surveillance and negligence.
A woman is burned to death in a New York subway in December.
In October Hochul shot a video extolling the safety of the city’s subways.
Revelers celebrating the holidays were mowed down on Bourbon Street because the chief of police neglected to place street barriers on the streets.
Yet the Super Bowl will still go on.
And in Florida, Gov. DeSantis signed House Bill 1021 into law on June 2024, which will destroy the condo market in that state and financially break condo owners, especially the elderly, because of the exorbitant assessments that will be levied.
This month Gov. DeSantis has appeared on TV, and talked about the border, but never commented about the condo and insurance crisis he has in his state.
Elected officials care only their political futures, and neglect the people who elected them.
Victims of Hurricane Helene in North Carolina are still living in tents.
And as the Santa Ana winds continue to blow and threaten still more conflagrations in California, the effort to recall the governor and mayor in charge of this mess has only gotten a few hundred thousand signatures.
Voters are the key.
When elected officials’ only advice is to tax more, talk more, and advise you to be patient, and voters continue to vote for mediocre political hacks, who do you think is to blame for a beautiful state being burned to the ground?
Hold the line, America.
Stay strong, Patriots
