Where can I sign up to get money for something that never happened to me? Nowadays, you've got a lot of places to choose from. But, for the time being, try Chicago.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson says his best bet for cutting crime in his crime-riddled city is to hand out money. Reparations. For slavery. But, of course, his other bad idea was when he blamed Texas Gov. Abbott for flying illegal immigrants into his city. 

He could have called Joe. New York Mayor Adams could, too, and said "Hey, Joe. What do you know? Close the border, Bro." But they don't dare. 

Who would have thought that when we believed we'd get someone better than Lightfoot in Chicago we ended up with Johnson? But then again, we thought we'd do better after DeBlasio left. And here we are.

Hope springs eternal, but sometimes you just get the fuzzy end of the lollipop.
