Predictably, once again, the White House had to reframe Joe's comments, this time the one where he called Trump supporters "garbage," updating their transcript by using punctuation:

The word "supporters" was to be changed to "supporter's," supposedly to comment on the comedian who called Puerto Rico "a floating island of garbage." I don't know...

The whole point, I think, was that Joe was trying to upstage Kamala. She was holding a speech-rally at the Ellipse at the very same time Joe surfaced. Standing at the spot Trump stood on January 6, she called Trump "unstable," "obsessed with revenge," and "out for unchecked power," all statements which referred to her and Joe, not Trump.

And the fact that Joe is getting more press was the whole point as far as Joe was concerned. 

Joe is still hopping mad Kamala stole his campaign. And there's no punctuation mark that can fix it.
