Who’d a thunk it? This week the disgraced Jeffrey Toobin was hauled onto CNN to rehab his sorry self.
So, when Toobin timidly told Alisyn Camerota he’s been doing “public service,” after he was fired, working at a food bank, what was there to say?
Except maybe you don’t want any of the food he’s been handling.
It’s getting so crazy in Joe’s America that even a defector from North Korea thinks it’s bad.
Yeonmi Park walked across the Gobi Desert to reach America.
By age 13 she said she’d seen people drop dead of starvation in front of her.
“Because I’ve seen oppression, I know what it looks like,” she said on Fox News.
And she saw it at Columbia University, where she discovered classes were replete with anti-American propaganda. And when she said she was fond of the classics, a university staffer demanded, “Did you know those writers had a colonial mindset?
“They were racists and bigots, and are subconsciously brainwashing you,” she was scolded.
Just like in North Korea.
Unfortunately, it takes an outsider to see what’s happening in our country. Xi Van Fleet survived Mao’s Cultural Revolution.
This week she told Virginia’s Loudon County School Board that she vehemently opposed teaching Critical Race Theory.
“I’ve been very alarmed by what’s going on in our schools,” she said. “You are now teaching, training our children to be social justice warriors and to loathe our country and our history.”
“To me, and to a lot of Chinese, it is heartbreaking that we escaped Communism and now we experience Communism here.”
During the cultural revolution, she said, people were divided by class. In America the division is being done by race.
In Mao’s China, Communist squads raided houses, destroyed all reminders of China’s cultural past, and monitored thoughts.
“We were asked to report if we heard anything about someone saying anything, showing that there iwa a lack of complete loyalty to Mao,” she said.
“There were people reporting their parents, and their parents ended up in jail.”
Just like in Joe’s America.
This week the Biden administration explained their plan to fight “Domestic Terrorism” -- and it is by reporting your radicalized friends.
The goal, an administration official said, was to stop bad things…before they happened. Which sounds kinda' unconstitutional, doesn't it?
“This involves creating contexts, in which those who are family members, or friends, or co-workers, know that there are pathways and avenues to raise concerns and seek help for those who they have perceived to be radicalizing and potentially radicalizing towards violence,” the spokesperson said.
In other words, be a snitch, like in Mao’s China.
It’s sobering, but it is what happening.
This week Dr. Jill had to corral Joe at the G7 conference before he wandered off, and had to tell him, “Joe! Pay attention,” when his mind wandered off.
This was while The Doctor addressed an audience of American servicemen in the U.K.
People giggled nervously. The Leftist media ignored the terrible and dangerous picture the U.S. president presented.
But America’s enemies at the conference were delighted. They were glad Trump wasn’t president, and that this weak, confused old man was.
“You guys have lost common sense to a degree that I as a North Korean cannot even comprehend,” Yeomni Park said sadly.
“In North Korea I literally believed that my Dear Leader [Kim Jong-un] was starving," Park recalled. "And then somebody showed me a photo and said 'Look at him, he's the fattest guy. Other people are all thin.' And I was like, 'Oh my God, why did I not notice that he was fat?' It was because I never learned to think critically.
"That is what is happening in America," she continued. "People see things but they've just completely lost the ability to think critically.”
Thanks to a corrupted media and institutions of lower learning.
