“You will never know how much it has cost my generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it.” John Adams

You know when you stick a pencil in your ear? I hate when that happens.
It hurts, but not as much as listening to Kamala Harris.
Harris, The Woman Who (God Help Us) Could Become President, thinks the rest of us are stupid.
This week she gave another Foot in Mouth interview, this time to BET’s Soledad O’Brien, in which she argued against voter ID.
“In some people’s minds,” Harris explained, “that (voter ID) means you’re going to have to Xerox or photocopy (isn't that the same thing?) your ID to send it to in to prove you are who you are.”
And she explained the hardship voter laws like this would impose.
“People who live in rural communities…there’s no Kinkos, there’s no OfficeMax near them.
"People have to understand, when we're talking about voter ID laws, be clear about who you have in mind and what would be required of them to prove who they are.”
We understand who she has in mind. All of us. Stupid Americans outside her DC-LA Bubble.
She's talking about the people she thinks aren’t smart enough to get an ID. Who never flew in a plane. Or drove a car.
Because these require an ID.
But at least these "rural area stupid people" know “Kinkos” isn't around anymore.
People were insulted. But clever.
“I live on top of a mountain on the WV/VA border and I can photocopy my ID. I mean I do it while moonshining White Lightning while dueling banjos play in the background but I can still do it.”*
Actor Matt Damon thinks the same Socialist way.
Last week he talked about his movie “Stillwater,” and how shocked he was that the guys working in the oil industry were nice.
In his movie, Damon portrays an Oklahoma oil rig worker, Bill Baker, and was asked if his character voted for Trump.
“They’re in the oil business,” Damon replied. “Of course, he voted for Trump.”
That he played a Trump voter, as a Dyed-in-the-Wool Democrat, had to be painful for the actor.
Nonetheless, he said he learned a lot during the filming. “These people were wonderful to us. They really helped us. It was eye-opening for me,” he said.
He was surprised, that “these people” invited him into break rooms and backyard barbeques.
He was surprised, because he, in his Hollywood Bubble, hasn’t a clue who Americans are, especially the ones who voted for Trump.
In Kamala and Damon’s Cancel Culture world, when an athlete whose entire resume includes the ability to throw a hammer, turns her back on the American flag, she is “recognizing when the U.S. hasn’t lived up to its highest ideals,” as the White House put it.
In that world, Democrats support those who say the American flag is insulting to them.
And, in that world, helping Cuban citizens in their bid for freedom from Communism, means backing Communist leaders there.
After all, Democrats Bill deBlasio, Bernie Sanders and Barack Obama have done that for years.
I think I can tell Kamala and Damon who Trump voters and regular Americans are.
They are like a beloved friend of mine, Cliff Haney. He died last week.
Cliff was career military. He completed two tours of duty, in Vietnam and Desert Storm during the 23 years he served in the U.S. Army.
He signed up to serve when he was 19. A baby.
He crawled through the mud of Vietnam, and jumped out of planes in the 82nd Airborne Division.
He ruined his knees, and his lungs, and had to remember the horrors of war for the rest of his life. But he kept that to himself.
He, like all the soldiers who protect us, was asked by his government to kill for pennies a day.
To protect us. All of us.
He was college educated, Kamala, and a charming Southern gentleman.
He worked hard all his life, and was a Good and Faithful Servant, who led a Christian life.
Cliff voted Trump. Twice. He knew Trump was good for our country. But he did his research. And he'd know that Levin's book, American Marxism, was coming out this week.
He knew what the American flag stood for. What it meant to him. He fought so it would always fly. So it would always stand for Freedom. All our soldiers do.
America and people like Cliff Haney are an inspiration to the world.
The people of Cuba know what America stands for. They are carrying our flag today as they fight in the streets of Havana against Communism, and as Cuban supporters join in the protest here, in the streets of Miami and Tampa.
That’s who a Trump voter is, Kamala.
They aren’t all the same. They love this country. They are Patriots. And they sure aren’t stupid.
Hold the line, America.
Where We Go One, We Go All
Stay safe, Patriots
R.I.P., Cliff. You are always on our minds.
