The Incompetence Pandemic

“My boss’ incompetence is an inspiration that one day someone as incompetent as me could be boss.”

You may recall, as well you should, that Margaret Thatcher led the UK as its Prime Minister from 1979 to 1990. What you might not know is she was also the leader of the Conservative Party from 1975 to 1990.

A talented lady.

She and President Ronald Reagan enjoyed a close relationship, and were on the same page when it came to Socialism and Communism.

It was Thatcher who coined the phrase, “The trouble with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.”

And it was Reagan who said to the Soviet Communist leader, “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!”

And the Berlin Wall came tumbling down.

Margaret Thatcher isn’t around anymore. She died in 2013.

But that didn’t stop American Urban Radio Network’s Tanya Hart  from asking Gillian Anderson, “Have you spoken to Margaret Thatcher about your performance?” after Anderson won an Emmy this week for her role as Margaret Thatcher in The Crown.

Hart tried to back pedal by saying she was thinking of UK Prime Minister Therese May, but of course Anderson wasn’t portraying Therese May, was she?

It’s just another example of Stupid is as Stupid Does set by our country’s leaders, one the media eagerly embraces.

Hart is described as “an Emmy-winning producer, who recently produced a national awareness campaign against HIV/AIDS for the CDC.”

But apparently this interviewer, who is no spring chicken, doesn’t know history. Or how to use Google.

“To continue with the whole Margaret Thatcher thing,” Hart said, “why has it taken the U.S. so long to get a woman leader?”

One would think Hart would have known about Margaret Thatcher, and that she was the first female UK Prime Minister.

But she didn’t.

Hart may be a day late and a dollar short, but she’s not alone.

She, like President Joe and the media, want us to join their Let’s Make Believe It Never Happened World.

Monday, while thousands of illegal immigrants were living under a bridge in Del Rio, Texas, Homeland Security  Alejandro Mayorkas told reporters, “Our borders are not open.”

When asked why illegals crossing the southern border aren’t required to be vaccinated against Covid-19, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki actually said, “They’re not intending to stay here for a lengthy period of time.”

In New York City, Mayor de Blasio confiscated dirt bikes on Staten Island, ordering bulldozers at Fresh Kills Plant 1 to crush them.

“These dirt bikes are dangerous. They can endanger the lives of the people around them,” he said.

“We need to make clear that we’re just not going to tolerate this kind of illegality.”

What he didn't have to add was that crime, violence, drug and homeless problems in New York are the kinds of illegality he does tolerate.

The types of senseless violence, continuing unabated on his watch, which have made the Big Apple a place to which office workers and tourists are reluctant to come.

And just this week when photos emerged of horseback mounted border patrol officers, using their reins, for their horses, to control crowds in Del Rio, the press grabbed onto it, choosing to report these were “whips” being used to terrorize Haitian illegal immigrants.

AP reported it.

The White House commented on it.

And Vice President Harris and Secretary Mayorkas were both “horrified.”

“Human beings should never be treated that way,” Harris fumed.

So angry was she, that she said she will support an investigation to be launched by Mayorkas, when in reality the buck stopped with her, as duly appointed Border Czar.

These are news events designed to distract from so many things that need distracting.

Democrats and Joe may not be the sharpest tacks in the box. They cause more problems than they solve, and, in fact, are incapable of solving anything.

But, as they say, "problems always look big when incompetent men are working on them.*

Unfortunately, at this time in our history, we have more incompetence than we need.

Hold the line, America.
Where We Go One, We Go All
Stay strong, Patriots
