November 16, 2022, And Every Wednesday

RUN, DONALD, RUN
Taking a risk is risky. But all great men knew how to do it. Thomas Edison, Abraham Lincoln, Jesus. Elon Musk.
And The Donald.
These men do bold things while those who never do anything to make things better, and have plenty of criticism to hand out, stand on the sidelines, clutching their pearls.
Like Brit Hume and his pal Bret Baier. And Neil Cavuto. So much for FOX news.
When Donald Trump announced last night that he is running for president, none of the flags behind him fell down.
I’d say that’s a good sign.
But, as French writer Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr said in 1849, “The more things change, the more they stay the same.”
There was nothing different last night from when Trump announced in 2016.
Then he was called a clown, and was attacked for saying that there were criminals among the illegal immigrants that came across U.S. open border.
And the attacks have never stopped.
The media tried to pin “Red Wave” losses on Trump. But they didn’t report that he travelled tirelessly, across the country, supporting Republican candidates.
While George Bush stayed home.
That Trump supported a Republican Party that often did not support him.
While Mitch McConnell pulled GOP money out of races for the candidates he didn’t like, and Trump did.
And nowhere was it reported that Trump’s endorsement success rate was 232 wins and only 22 losses.
Not bad in a midterm election that went on for months, with results in critical races going unreported for days. Like in Arizona, where 60 polling places ran out of ink.
And where Katie Hobbs, who is secretary of state, and whose job is to certify state election results, won.
Trump never was given credit by the media for his success in staving off war, inflation, and for his ability to more than keep up with the demands of the office.
In the meanwhile, Joe didn’t attend the evening gala at the G20 meeting in Bali, (despite the carbon footprint it cost to get him there), because he physically and mentally couldn't do it.
Instead the media was chomping at the bit to continue their endless Trump harangue.
After last night’s announcement, CNBC snidely referred to Trump as “twice impeached and under FBI investigation.”
National Public Radio, (which is on a Hatred-for-America par with the United Nations, for which we also pay through the nose), referred to Trump, as someone “who tried to overthrow the results of the 2020 presidential election, and inspired a deadly riot at the Capitol in a desperate attempt to keep himself in power.”
National Review accused the former president of “grotesque abuse of his powers, trying to bully Vice President Pence into unilaterally delaying or changing the count of electoral votes on January 6, and with an inflamed pro-Trump mob storming the Capitol.”
Which made Mike Pence very happy.
Pence is the guy who did not, on January 6, perform his role as the president of the Senate, as explicitly laid out in the U.S. Constitution.
He was interviewed yesterday by Sean Hannity about his new book, So Help Me God, and during the interview he delivered a disingenuous excuse for his disloyal behavior on January 6.
Not disloyalty to Trump. Disloyalty to the U.S. Constitution.
Pence claimed Trump’s tweets during the Capitol riot “endangered me and my family.” And Hannity, interestingly, didn’t correct him.
He didn’t remind the vice president that Donald Trump requested National Guards from Nancy Pelosi, and was ignored.
It was clear that Pence had crossed over to the Never Trumpers, like Chris Christie. But maybe Pence had always been there.
What was clear was that he was definitely running for president himself, and trying to sell books.
He didn't hold back in coyly boasting to Hannity about "his" and the Trump administration's accomplishments, emphasizing his relkgious faith whenever he could.
And while interviewed by ABC's David Muir the same day, he had no problem in innocently misrepresenting Trump's role in the January 6 riot.
"I mean, the president's words were reckless, It was clear he decided to be part of the problem."
Was it clear, Mike? Maybe it's just that you were a willing part of the problem. A FBI-Pelosi set-up if I ever saw one.
Maybe it's that you think the same way Liz Cheney does about Trump. And you know how that ended up for her.
What is clear is Mike Pence doesn’t know the meaning of the word “Loyalty.”
But MAGA people do. In life, you've got to pick a side, and stick with it.MAGA people do. Run, Donald, Run.
Hold the line, America.
Stay strong and resolute, Patriots
