“There are three kinds of people: Those who can count, and those who can’t.” George Carlin

Staten Island Chuck never minded being a Second Banana Groundhog.
After all, Puntsuctawney Phil has always been “The Man.” He even starred in a movie.
And Chuck agreed with Phil: “Never drive angry.”
What Chuck’s family and fans did mind was Bill de Blasio dropping the Furry Prognosticator in 2014.
Bill de Blasio was so bad at his job that a perfectly good groundhog ended up dead.
The media said it was the Staten Island Zoo that kept Chuck’s demise a secret from the public, but most people believed it was a de Blasio cover up.
After all, that’s the way Democrats roll. With them every day is Groundhog Day.
No one was sad to see de Blasio go. As Neil Young would say, “de Blasio’s gone, but he’s not forgotten…It’s a story about Johnny Rotten.”
He was lazy, late for everything, and left New York City dirty and dangerous.
But Democrat voters are not the type to learn from experience. They replaced him with a Democrat mayor and district attorney who are fully as incompetent.
New York may have new leaders, but the policies haven’t changed.
Under Comrade de Blasio’s mandates, you can’t eat out, work, or go to a Broadway show if you didn’t get the jab.
And if you wanted to see Staten Island Chuck in person today, you couldn’t. Not without Vax Passport Papers.
Bill de Blasio liked it that way, and so do Mayor Eric Adams, District Attorney Alvin Bragg and Andrew Cuomo’s replacement, Kathy Hochul.
Hochul has kept all of de Blasio’s policies in place, and it appears Adams will, too, despite his “I’m Hard on Crime” speeches.
After Bragg announced a Pick and Choose The Crime Prosecution plan, Hochul met with him last week.
She told him she could remove him from office, but she didn’t. And she didn’t criticize the No-Bail-Revolving-Door process now in place.
“I’m looking for the data that shows me that bail reform is the reason that somehow crime is going up,” she explained.
Crime rates are soaring in Democrat-led states, but Hochul and Jen Psaki don’t believe it.
Speaking with the four Obama aide hosts on Pod Save America this week, Psaki chuckled at the silly news Fox was covering.
“CNN and MSNBC were focused on Ukraine-Russia tensions,” she said. “On Fox Jeanine Pirro is talking about soft-on-crime consequences. I mean, what does that even mean?”
The red-haired White House spokesperson thinks it’s “an alternate universe on some coverage.” And from her Washington Bubble, she’s right.
“What’s scary about it is a lot of people watch that,” she said. “They think that the president isn’t doing anything to address people’s safety in New York and that couldn’t be further from the truth.”
As she was saying this, police officers from across the country travelled to attend the funerals of two of their own, Jason Rivera and Wilbert Mora, both police officers killed in New York City last week.
If indeed Jen, President Joe and Kathy Hochul are confused about the impact of “soft-on-crime-consequences,” they should speak to Rivera’s widow.
Joe would have been able to if he had “cleared his calendar” to attend the funerals, and heard a widow’s euology for her husband.
“I know you are tired of these laws, especially the ones from the new DA. I hope he’s watching you speak through me right now,” Dominique Luzuriaga Rivera said.
“I’m sure all of our blue family is tired, too.
“But I promise, we promise, that your death won’t be in vain. I love you until the end of time.
“We’ll take the watch from here.”
And they will. Because the people in charge aren’t.
Hold the line, America.
Let's Go, Brandon!
