Who doesn’t like a good belly laugh. And these days Kamala Harris is her own Saturday Night Live.
Except funnier.
But it seems the Veep’s staff doesn’t like her jokes. Or her. They’re leaving their jobs like rats fleeing a sinking ship.
And her visit to Poland probably didn’t get a lot of guffaws, either.
A six-year-old could have handled, with compassion, the question NPR correspondent Ama Khalid asked Kamala during a press conference in Poland.
It was about refugees fleeing to Poland from the Ukraine. And it was as the world was about to consider the possibility of a nuclear war.
But Kamala just laughed and laughed.
Friday she was at it again, this time in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, in her new role as Joe’s “Road Warrior.”
“We were all doing a tour of the library here, and talking about the significance of the passage of time, right?” Kamala told the audience.
“The significance of the passage of time. So, when you think about it, there is great significance to passage of time.
“There is such great significance to the passage of time when you think of a day in the life of our children.”
Wait. What?
Democrats, as you can see, are desperate. And delusional.
“There is just no way any secretary can bring the star power and local media attention as the vice president can,” Democrat strategist Eddie Vale gushed.
You can say that again.
“It will be a chance (as Road Warrior) to tout the administration’s achievements (there are none). But also to show a little bit of herself to people who still wonder what role she’s playing, (we do), and how effective she is (she’s not).
“The first black and first south Asian vice president, is one of the most effective voices in the administration,” another said.
See, this is what happens when, One, you don’t clean up election corruption.
You can’t get rid of a mentally-challenged president, and a do-nothing vice president, without ending up with Nancy Pelosi.
And Two, when you choose anyone for any important office, based on their gender and skin color, you usually end up with just plain stupid.
Kamala Harris is the poster child for that, and should be a lesson for never, ever doing that again.
It’s ignorant. It’s ill advised. And it’s probably a violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
But Joe went ahead with it anyway. He said he would choose only a woman, only of color, for the vice president and the Supreme Court.
Kamala. And Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson.
During her confirmation hearings this week, Joe’s nominee said she couldn’t answer what the definition of a woman was; when she believes life begins.
And said she did not believe Critical Race Theory is being taught in schools.
Until Sen. Ted Cruz provided evidence that it is taught in a school on whose board she serves.
“It doesn’t come up in my work as a judge,” she insisted. “It’s never something that I have studied or relied on.”
Until Sen. Cruz presented a speech in which she said she did.
Gender and race. When it matters to you, it can give you problems.
Ah, Kamala, with the laughing face. She’s the subject of ridicule around the world. She doesn’t work. Doesn’t seem to know how, or have the inclination.
Same thing goes with Joe.
To paraphrase Winston Churchill, “Never have so many, owed so little, to so few.”
But it was Newt Gingrich who explained it best, to Fox’s Sean Hannity.
“He (President Joe) may or may not have cognitive decline problems at his age, but at her age, she’s just dumb.”
Coincidentally we saw more of that this week.
At the Senate confirmation hearings.
