If Donald Trump had only had had the smarts to do what Joe Biden has done, he’d have been celebrated from here to Beijing.
Literally.
Instead Trump foolishly insisted on building a wall, so the United States would be a real country.
As a result The Donald missed out on being praised by the Mexican president the way Joe was this week.
Joe finally visited the southern border, but did it “slightly.”
He posed beside the Wall That Trump Built, so Americans might think he built it.
He walked the border with border guards.
He toured the town that had been carefully cleared of illegals.
Then he headed down to a Summit Meeting in Mexico City with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
“You, President Biden, are the first president of the United States in a very long time that has not built one meter of wall between our countries,” President AMLO gushed at a joint press conference yesterday.
“We thank you for that, sir,” he said, pleased at Joe’s Come One, Come All border policy, adding, “although some might not like it.”
You think? Well, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott sure didn’t.
KWTX-TV reported Abbott handed Joe a letter as he stepped off Air Force One for his three-hour visit to El Paso.
“Your visit to our southern border with Mexico today is $20 billion too little and two years too late,” Abbott said.
“Moreover, your visit avoids the sites where mass illegal immigration occurs and sidesteps the thousands of angry Texas property owners whose lives have been destroyed by your border policies.
“Even the city you visit has been sanitized of the migrant camps which had overrun downtown El Paso, because your administration wants to shield you from the chaos that Texas has experienced on a daily basis.
“This chaos is the direct result of your failure to enforce the immigrations laws that Congress enacted.”

Frankly, it was a miracle that Joe went at all.
On December 6 he flew to Arizona for a meeting with Taiwanese company TSMC, but neglected to stop in at the border.
When asked why, Joe said, “Because there are more important things going on.”
Joe got most all of his immigration stats wrong at the Mexico Summit Meeting.
And his face was red the other day when it was disclosed that classified documents were stored in a former office of his at the University of Pennsylvania (ironically dubbed The Think Tank).
These documents weren’t disclosed until after the November 2022 election.
But Joe says he doesn’t remember.
Unfortunately, that’s easy to believe.
He probably doesn't remember his Attorney General sent armed FBI agents to former President Trump’s home to retrieve documents that Trump had there. Or that he castigated Trump for doing so.
In August. Before the November elections.
As sure as Nancy Pelosi believed it when she wished us a “Happy Schwanza”, we now know that the documents secreted in Joe’s old office, were classified documents regarding Ukraine and Iran.
This was during 2013-2016: The time of the Iran Nuclear Deal, the revolution that overthrew Ukrainian President Yanukovych, and the beginning of Hunter Biden’s association with Ukrainian company Burisma.
But Joe doesn’t remember any of that.
Unfortunately, that’s easy to believe.
