Some People Did Something

“My students have shown me so many times that it’s not always about being the perfect person in the perfect position, it’s about showing up when you’re needed.” Jill Biden

It’s painful to admit Hillary Clinton was right, but she was.

There is a Basket of Deplorables.

They’re the people that don’t count. The people who don’t deliver votes to people like Hillary. The people who aren’t Democrats.

If you can’t vote Democrat, or deliver 30 pieces of silver, you’re nobody to them.

“You could put half of Trump’s supporters in what I call the Basket of Deplorables,” Clinton confidently announced at a fundraiser in September 2016.

“Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic.” That’s who they are, Hill said.

“The other half feel the government has let them down, and are desperate for change.”

She can say that again. Except they’re saying that about her. And Joe.

Hillary still doesn’t “get it,” but you have to admit she has her finger on the Not Caring Much Political Pulse. She’s been a mentor to Joe and Pete.

Under Hillary’s Secretary of State guidance, the FBI didn’t arrive to the site of the U.S. Embassy attack in Benghazi for two weeks.

Under her and Obama’s direction, no assistance was sent to the people in the embassy.

And later, testifying before the 2013 Senate Foreign Relations Committee about Benghazi, she screamed, “At this point, what difference make?”

Four Americans died in the attack. Sen. Ron Johnson thought the question was fair.

But those people didn’t matter. And neither do the residents of North Palestine, Ohio.

Yesterday Secretary-Mayor Pete was out strolling with his wife when Daily Caller reporter Jennie Taer approached him.

“What do you have to say to the folks in Ohio, East Palestine, who are suffering right now,” she asked.

A huffy-puffy Pothole Pete told her coldly that he’d done a dozen interviews that day, adding, “Now, I am taking some personal time.”

We didn’t realize Pete needed a lot of “personal time.” We should have.

During the railroad strike, when he was on vacation in Portugal.

When he took two months maternity leave.

We didn’t realize how tough he has it.

“I’m accustomed to working very, very hard,” Buttigieg whined to CNN’s Chris Wallace.

“I have never worked as hard as I did during those weeks that Chasten and I were taking care of our newborn, premature infant twins.”

So that explains why Pete’s been a no-show for 18 days since the train wreck in Ohio, and why he can’t decide what “the right time” will be for him to go there.

He didn’t like it one bit when he learned The Donald was going to New Palestine today.

Like a rat trapped in a corner, a jaded Secretary-Mayor Pete implied it was just for a photo op.

And then he blamed everything on someone else.

Guess who?

Now it may look like Buttigieg has bad judgment. And Joe, for that matter. But that’s not true.

It’s sensible that neither of them wants to be anywhere near the Chernobyl-like town of East Palestine, with its Love Canal future.

It’s not good leadership, but sensible.

Joe, like other Democrats before him, high-tailed it out of town. Way out of town. To one his favorite spots, Ukraine.

He walked boldly next to President Zalenski, who dressed up in a black sweatshirt for the occasion.

Air raid sirens blared as they walked, although no one had to take cover.

Joe handed out half a billion dollars to people who weren’t in North Palestine and promised his undying support.

Joe was having a great time.

It was a great photo op.

He knew “The Big Guy” would get a cut of that money.

And he figured that the “something that happened to some people” in Ohio would die down by the time he got back home.

But I wonder. With the air and water declared safe in Ohio, do you think Pete will take his kids there when he goes?

Hold the line, America.
Thanks President Trump for going where angels fear to tread.
Stay strong, Patriots
