“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.” Theodore Roosevelt

You keep informed. You tune into the news and all you want to do is drop out.
Everywhere you look the problems our country faces are profound.
No one is going to blame you for being scared. Or for talking about the border, the Biden Crime Family, inflation, China, yada, yada, but what good does it do if all you do is talk?
Then they win. And you lose.
There are always problems, but throughout history there have been people who stepped up and did something.
“A small group of thoughtful, committed individuals can change the world.” That’s what Margaret Mead said.
But more importantly, Winnie the Poo said, “You’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”
Now’s the time to be brave, strong and smart.
People in power have allowed our country to be turned into a dangerous Socialist country.
In Chicago a white woman was beaten senseless, her shoes and phone taken, by a black teen “wilding” mob.
“We have to make sure people can eat,” was the curious response newly elected Mayor Brandon Johnson made. It almost made you wish for the good old days of Lori Lightfoot.
At least she was a good dancer.
While attempting to give an address at San Francisco State University about transgender women competing in her sport, former swimming champ Riley Gaines was threatened, chased and verbally abused by a transgender mob shouting “Trans rights are human rights.”
During the riot, a man hit her, something Miss Manners would say is a no-no. And the mob demanded she pay them if she wanted to make it home safely.
No one should be silenced by a mob, nor be barricaded inside a room for three hours. We have a First Amendment and laws against that.
After the riot, the San Francisco police said the protest was peaceful.
After the riot, San Francisco State University President Lynn Mahoney wrote a letter to the campus community. And, no, it was not an apology.
“Last Thursday, Turning Point USA hosted an event on campus that advocated for the exclusion of trans people in athletics.
“The event was deeply traumatic for many in our trans and LGBTQ+ communities, and the speaker’s message outraged many members of the SF State community.”
Mahoney referred to the riot as “an unfortunate disturbance,” that “delayed the speaker’s departure.”
She also said SFSU is committed to freedom of expression, academic freedom, and the right to teach and learn free from censorship.
This sounds familiar.
It’s similar to what Secretary of Homeland Security Mayorkas says when asked about the open border. “We are working to make the border more secure,” he says, as 6 million illegals have poured through.
What to do? If you’re a teacher, check out if there is Critical Race Theory being taught and do something about it.
Run for office on city councils, boards of education. Run for Congress. You couldn't possibly be as stupid as the people already in office there.
Talk to friends and strangers. Support people who are being targeted. Pray.
Frank Siller started the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in honor of his brother Stephen, paying off the mortgages of the widows of soldiers and first responders, and building mortgage-free smart homes for disabled veterans.
An out-of-work Danny Thomas put the last of his money in the church poor box, and prayed to St. Jude, “Show me my way in life, and I will build you a shrine.”
That became St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
It’s what good people do when things have gone wrong. Less talk and more action.
Americans can be scared, but they never give up. It’s not in their DNA.
Hold the line, America.
Stay strong, Patriots
