Joe's Got Friends in High Places

If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bull***t.

Or just plain lie.

That pretty much describes the legal approach of Hunter Biden’s attorneys.

And the Bidens in general.

The First Son appeared today in U.S. District Court for a hearing on a plea agreement for tax evasion and firearm charges.

He was expected to plead guilty to charges brought by U.S. Attorney David Weiss, who spent five years on the investigation.

But problems emerged.

In advance of today’s proceedings, Rep. Jason Smith, Republican chair of the House Ways and Means Committee, filed an amicus brief.

In the brief, it was requested that U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika consider IRS whistleblower testimony when addressing Hunter’s cushy plea deal.

“The defendant appears to have benefited from political interference,” the brief stated, “which calls into questions the propriety of the investigation of the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

“It is critical that the Court consider the Whistleblower Materials before determining whether to accept the Plea Agreement.”

Members of Hunter’s legal team did the only thing they could. Lie.

A staffer at Hunter’s law firm, Jessica Bengels, called the clerk’s office, and  said she worked with attorneys at the Ways and Means Committee, and said the Committee wanted the “Whistleblower” filings removed.

Afterwards she said she didn’t do it.

The court clerk said she did.

And the judge threatened the defense team with sanctions.

The GOP brief had to be refiled.

It’s difficult to keep track of the Biden Family scandals.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre doesn’t even try. And if asked, she won’t answer.

“I’ve been asked this question a million times,” she sputtered when Fox News’ Gillian Turner asked her about claims that Joe is involved in his son’s business.

“The answer is not going to change,” she said coldly. “The answer remains the same: The president was never in business with his son.”

But she never answered this question, not even once, and Joe used to say that he “never spoke to Hunter about his business.”

So much for transparency.

Hunter and Joe know lots of low people in high places.

Nicholas McQuaid, a former colleague of Hunter’s attorney, Chris Clark, was appointed to the Department of Justice’s Criminal Division in 2021, while Hunter was under investigation.

Kevin Morris, an entertainment attorney who paid off $2 million dollars of Hunter’s delinquent taxes, and advised Hunter on how to structure his art sales, was seen smoking a bong on his LA balcony while Hunter, a supposed recovering addict, was visiting this week.

David Weiss, U.S. attorney on the Hunter Biden case, is a born and raised Delaware guy, the state where the Biden name is law, and Joe can do no wrong.

At this point Hunter and Joe have done all they can, with everyone they know.

They’ve threatened the whistleblowers, including Devon Archer, Hunter’s former business partner, who says his family has received death threats if he testifies before Congress.

Archer has cancelled his testimony three times, and now is slated for next Monday, behind closed doors, transcription only.

According to the New York Post, Archer is prepared to say he was present for about “two dozen phone calls in which Hunter put his dad on speaker phone with his foreign associates, and about a half dozen in which Joe specifically was introduced to others.”

In a breaking news development, this afternoon, Hunter’s Sweetheart Plea Deal fell apart.

Judge Noreika questioned whether the plea covered future potential charges of the Justice Department’s ongoing investigation. The prosecution said it did not.

The judge then announced that she was not willing to accept the plea, which would have given Hunter “broad immunity from prosecution in perpetuity,” according to a report from the courtroom.

At that point Hunter pled not guilty to two tax charges, as his house of cards, kings, queens, and the ace of spades, came tumbling down.

Hold the line, America.
Stay strong, Patriots.
