“We are not here to curse the darkness, but to light the candle that can lead us through that darkness to a safe and sane future.” John F. Kennedy

Just think. If it wasn’t for the Islamist al-Qaedists flying planes into the Twin Towers, we would never know the words, “Allahu Akbar,” “Jihad,” “Fatwa,” or, now, what “From the river to the sea,” means.
And wouldn’t that be a loss for us.
Luckily, we have Rep. Rashida Tlaib to keep those words, and the doctrines they represent, alive.
In a heartfelt rendition of America the Beautiful, Ray Charles says, “This is the way we used to sing it in school.” He says fondly, "America. Sweet America."
And when he sings the words, “from sea to shining sea,” it has nothing to do with eradicating a race of people.
That’s nice. That’s America. Nice.
But there can be too much of a good thing. Like being nice. The time has come to draw our line in our Constitutional sand.
To people like Rashida Tlaib, our Constitution and her Congressional office are just platforms to spew hate.
To her, and people like her, dead babies, inside or outside the womb are no tragedy.
It’s a philosophical difference. It is a Life versus Death philosophical difference, and there can be no meeting of the minds.
This week, Rep. Tlaib used the phrase. “From the river to the sea.” There was no doubt what she meant. But she tried to spin it.
“From the river to the sea is an aspirational call for freedom, human rights, and peaceful coexistence, not death, destruction or hate,” Tlaib insisted boldly.
“My work and advocacy is always centered in justice and dignity for all people, no matter faith or ethnicity.”
Except for Jews. Or that “mother****er Donald Trump.”
People disagreed. The Anti-Defamation League and the American Jewish Committee said the slogan is anti-Semitic.
“It is fundamentally a call for a Palestinian state, extending from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, territory that includes the State of Israel, which would mean the dismantling of the Jewish state,” the ADL wrote.
Fellow Democrats were similarly upset.
“Tlaib’s interpretation is not how Jews view the phrase ‘from the river to the sea,’” Democrat Michigan State Sen. Jeremy Ross tweeted.
“Hamas uses it as a rallying cry. And they don’t simply want to displace Jews in Israel. They want Jews dead.”
The problem now is that it is being used as a rallying cry by Americans. Hate has a way of doing that.
Tlaib thought she’d get a pass. The Squad always does. But this time she didn’t. Not entirely.
Yesterday Congress voted to “censure” her.
“What the heck does censure mean,” you ask.
Well, it’s one step below ouster. The questions is, “Why did Congress stop at censure?”
Of course we’ve heard of Censure. Adam Schiff, the “Teller of More Lies Than Biden,” was censured, and what happened to him?
Nothin’.
And that’s what will happen to Tlaib.
The last thing Rashida Tlaib is, is stupid. And the people who are like her aren’t, either.
The problem they have is they mistake American kindness and fairness for weakness.
King George III made the same mistake. So did Hitler.
Tlaib, and people who are like her, believe that this time around, it will be like it was in the 1930’s.
But what they don't realize is that this time around, the Jews have guns.
Hold the line, America.
Stay strong, Patriots.
