“A good lawyer knows the law. A great lawyer knows the judge.” Anonymous

Rosemary Clooney was a real likeable gal. She sang happy songs, “Comona’ my house, my housa’ come on…” And her “Hey, Mambo…Mambo Italiano” was a foot-tapper.
She starred with Bing Crosby in the All-American-White-Christmas movie, so, what was there not to like.
Her nephew, George, well, he’s a totally different story. And so is his wife, Amal.
Amal is a self-described human rights lawyer. She was born in Lebanon, to Muslim parents. It is not clear what religion Amal practices.
But here in America, it doesn’t matter. Does it? Or does it?
She is an adjunct professor at Columbia Law School, admitted to practice in the U.K., Wales and the U.S.
She’s really something, especially this week she and other experts agreed to recommend the International Criminal Court issue arrest warrants for Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
For war crimes.
As an afterthought ICC Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan also recommended arrest warrants for the leaders of Hamas.
“More than four months ago, the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court asked me to assist him with evaluating evidence of suspected war crimes and crimes against humanity in Israel and Gaza,” Amal Clooney wrote on the Clooney Foundation for Justice website.
“We unanimously conclude that there are reasonable grounds to believe that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel Defense Minister Yoav Gallant have committed war crimes, and crimes against humanity, including starvation as a method of warfare, murder, persecution and extermination.”
She said it was also unanimously concluded Hamas leaders committed crimes, hostage-taking, murder and crimes of sexual violence.
What Amal didn’t say was that Hamas started it.
On October 7.
What she doesn’t, or refuses to understand is that countries have the right to defend themselves when they are attacked.
That’s called “war.”
It isn't like "Zelensky's War" where you can take a break and jet over to the U.S. to ask for more money, or film a video for the Grammys mid-battle.
It's a real war, where people die, and international courts aren't prosecuting war crimes while the war rages, something that didn't happen during World War II, when Jews were being put to death in concentration camps.
It’s not the first time that Amal has shown her disdain for Israel.
Back in 2014 she was appointed to the U.N. Human Rights Council to investigate alleged Israeli war crimes committed in Gaza. She didn’t serve on the committee, but she felt the same then as she does now.
“I am horrified by the situation in the occupied Gaza Strip,” she said then, “particularly the civilian casualties that have been caused, and strongly believe that there should be an independent investigation and accountability for crimes that have been committed.”
Does Amal seem biased? Could be.
The history of Gaza, Israel and the Palestinian people has been in the news a lot. But she seems to have missed it.
Hamas is a terrorist organization, and was elected by the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Hamas has been stealing the food and medical supplies that have been provided for humanitarian purposes, by many countries, including Israel.
The Pentagon confirmed as much yesterday.
Hamas uses kids as human shields and teaches them from the cradle, to hate Jews.
As Joe would say, “that’s not rhetoric.” And ‘I’m not joking.”
But Joe wouldn’t say that, because he and Secretary of State Blinken feel the same way Amal does about Israel.
The same way Rep. “Some People Did Something” Omar feels.
The way Rep. Rashida feels, with her anti-American-Pro-Palestine rants, chanting “From the river to the sea,” a well-known call for the destruction of Israel.”
It isn’t hard to know where these people stand.
Joe may sputter about how wrong the ICC’s arrest warrants are, but we know that he’s getting ready for that fundraiser, in L.A., in June, with George Clooney.
The Greeks may have fallen for that old Trojan Horse deal, and look where that got them.
But there comes a time when you have to wake up and smell the coffee. There comes a time to call a spade a spade. And a time when you say, “Never again. Or, no you don’t. Not on our watch.”
Even those people who walk the Red Carpet.
Hold the line, America.
Stay strong, Patriots
