"If you can’t make it better, you can laugh at it.” Erma Bombeck, American Humorist

Anyone can do anything with a pen and a phone, but then what?
Anyone can lecture from a position of power. But then what?
A bunch of nothing.
Instead of dressing down President Trump yesterday, Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde, bishop of the Washington National Cathedral could have reflected on why she chose to become a priest in the first place.
Now we know there are people who are good and bad at their jobs. The past four years have been proof of that.
But when Rev. Budde, (with poorly coiffed hair), decided to use her position in the church, during the National Prayer Service, to “educate” Trump about immigration and LGBTQ issues, all she did was show she doesn’t have any idea on how to do her job.
As a Christian, she swore to carry the metaphorical sword as a soldier of Jesus. As a priest she swore to serve God in a Christian way. But when all was said and done, yesterday, all she did was carry the ideological sword of Woke.
The Bishop hates Trump. She has since 2020 when she defended the George Floyd riots. At that time she said she had “given up” trying to speak to Trump and said the country needed to “replace him.”
Well, that didn’t work. Even God didn’t see it her way in Butler last year.
All Budde’s inappropriate political rantings did was show that she was a good Democrat.
Like Nancy Pelosi.
In 2022, then Speaker of the House Pelosi also defended the wave of illegal immigrants that were pouring across our border.
Elitists to the core, Pelosi and Budde believe illegal immigrants should keep coming. Why? So they can do menial jobs!
“We have a shortage of workers in our country,” Pelosi said in 2022, “and you see even in Florida, some of the farmers and the growers saying: ‘Why are you shipping these immigrants up north? We need them to pick the crops down here.'”
Budde was on the same page, also advocating for illegals, “the people, who pick our crops and clean our office buildings,
“Who labor in poultry farms and meat packing plants,
“Who wash the dishes after we eat in restaurants and work the night shifts in hospitals."
Like Pelosi, Budde showed she doesn’t know what the word “illegal” means…What “cartels” are…Or understand that our children are our children, and we don’t need transgenders or the cartels to help raise them.
But in the spirit of Forgiveness, let’s give Bishop Budde, (for as long as she remains a bishop), some kind advice. She should try reading Mother Teresa’s reflections on serving God.
Mother Teresa was a nun, a decent, common sense human being, and one who gave hope to others. She believed that was part of her job.
She seemed to know what service to God demanded. And so does our President.
“People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;
It was never between you and them anyway.”
That's what Mother Teresa had inscribed on the wall of her children's home in Calcutta.
She sure knew how to do her job.
Hold the line, America.
Stay strong, Patriots.
