We can’t say we were surprised at who Barry Obama turned out to be. The Daily Caller 2007 video simply told us what we already knew.
Plagued as a narcissist, possessed of a superiority complex, Obama was raised by parents who, by example, showed him that the truth didn’t matter. He grew up to be a person who has less respect for the truth than he does for U.S. laws and our Constitution. And so far it has worked for him.Like a child, when he doesn’t like what happens, he becomes silent and ignores the issue. And, like a child, he changes his story and rewrites his actions and words and thinks people do not notice. But we do notice and we pity him, only not enough to let him continue to ruin our country.
His chameleon approach to politics and his life is interesting. Before our eyes and those of the world, he becomes whatever the circumstances demand. We saw that in the 2007 video, when he adopted an accent that he never uses, to address an audience to which he feels superior, to sell the theory that white America exploits black America for gain and profit.
Discussing the poor in America, Obama stated: "We can’t expect them to have all the skills they need to work. They may need help with basic skills, how to shop, how to show up for work on time, how to wear the right clothes, how to act appropriately in an office. We have to help them get there.”
In the video he was a recast of his hero Rev. Jeremiah Wright, preaching fire and brimstone against white America, emphasizing the inequities suffered by black America and telling black Americans that their government doesn’t like them.
Obama has denied he is a Muslim, but has an overriding, curious empathy with Islam, to a disquieting degree. He claims he is Christian, yet it is the Christianity of the Black Liberation variety, one with many similarities to that of Lewis Farrakahn’s Nation of Islam.
In this video he verbalizes his disdain for the suburbs and the private property philosophy which that implies.
Through it all, however, as president he has not been man enough to tell anyone what it is he believes. He deals surreptitiously and without good faith. And he thinks people do not notice.
But we do and the rest of the world does as well. Because of this behavior during his life and particularly during his presidency, the rest of the world has come to see America as weaker. And because of this behavior, America is weaker.
So as Election Day approaches we have to ask ourselves, is this a man you want to represent you and your nation?
Currently the pollsters are out there doing what they do, and the Republicans have been doing what they do -- taking the numbers seriously and losing hope. Rather than hammering President Obama with his oh-so-spotty record, the Republicans kept on trying to make Gov. Romney more loveable. Until now.
Last night, Gov. Mitt Romney took on President Obama and asked the questions we all wanted to ask, questions that an objective media should have been asking for more than four years, and Obama was visibly annoyed. His usual modus operandi is to storm off, from the Rose Garden or the Press Room, but he couldn’t tonight.
He tried to bully the moderator, neglecting to answer what "trickle down economics” was, but appeared foolish, going off on well-worn talking points.
He tried the Democratic shuffle, falling back on education, creating more jobs for teachers, the struggle of college students just like "me and Michelle,” the wonder of this country and the promise of its middle class, but it was easy to recognize the retread of old speeches and buzz words designed to pander.
Because we knew that as soon as the cameras were turned off, he would be back to picking NCAA stats or suiting up for a round of golf.
But last night he had to do what he has not for four years: address his record as president.
Romney took on every issue that needed to be addressed. When Obama tried Alinsky tactics, saying he hadn’t heard a plan from the governor and peevishly remarked that "this seemed to be a trend,” it sounded hollow and childish and missed the mark. And Romney countered.
Totally at ease, and speaking extemporaneously on economic issues critical to our limping economy, it was clear why. Romney knows his subject because of his background as a successful businessman and former governor of a prospering state. If ever Obama’s naivete and community organizer roots were apparent, they were then.
Obama dearly wants to be president. He’s been campaigning for four years, but the details of the job are just details to him.
Since the devil’s in the details, Romney spoke about the details. He had his plans and he explained them. And when Obama tried to misstate those plans, Romney corrected the skewed interpretation. But most importantly, Romney had more to offer than talk, talk, talk without the walk.
Now it’s true Obama has a lot of votes in his pocket. They are his go-to people, the shoo-ins.
The toothless Cleveland, Ohio lady who is thrilled she has an Obamaphone;
Jose Godinez-Samperio, the Mexican attorney in Florida who is making a bid to become the first illegal immigrant to obtain a U.S. law license.
Mitt Romney’s garbage man;
All the voters in Pennsylvania, Texas, Mississippi and Missouri who don’t have to show photo voter I.D.’s after these laws were struck down;
"Dreamers” who now have drivers licenses;
And Lockheed-Martin’s brass, the defense contractors whom Obama bribed to wait until after the November election to announce mass layoffs that will occur as the result of sequestration even though this violates federal law. Obama says if there are fines, he will, meaning we will, pick up the tab.
Probably the employees of Lockheed-Martin may not appreciate being fired after the election, but they won’t know that until January, 2013, so it’s all good.
Unfortunately it appears the military probably won’t be turning out in droves for Obama, especially Navy SEALS, because Obama’s administration has failed to comply with the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment Act.
As of today nearly half of overseas military bases lack offices where troops can register to vote. That was Obama’s Pentagon’s job under MOVE.
It is reported that military requests for ballots has fallen from 2008 under this administration…I wonder why? It couldn’t be that historically the military vote has trended heavily in favor of Republicans, could it? Whatever it is, our troops, if they want to be heard, will have to fight to cast their vote.
It is not surprising who Obama’s stalwarts are, but it is embarrassing that an array of dictators have lined up to endorse Obama, including Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, President Vladimir Putin and gulf oil sheiks.
Chavez, the Cuba-Iran loving dictator even went so far as to go on record, saying "…if I was from the United States, I’d vote for Obama,” because he is "a good guy.” Which, by the rules of the game, means that Obama automatically gets Sean Penn’s vote since Penn actively campaigned for President Chavez.
So what made these world leaders choose Obama? What was the fascination?
Chavez was able to recognize a kindred soul in Obama. Chavez, friend to head of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Cuba’s Raul Castro, could spot a fellow anti-colonialist from a mile away.
In a transparency that Obama never intended, Chavez saw a man that liked what he liked and felt the same way about freedom as Chavez did. Freedom of speech and press to both men means freedom to say what they liked hearing.
From Obama's open mic gaffe to former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev boasting he would have more flexibility to make a deal on missile defenses in Europe after election, to his policy of supporting his people in his administration no matter what they do -- Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebilius’ politicking for Obama's re-election in violation of the Hatch Act and Attorney General Eric Holder's biased execution of his job -- both Obama and Chavez like to make their own rules.
It has become clear that Obama cannot speak from his heart without a Teleprompter because what is in his heart changes with the circumstances.
He is affect-less when he discusses issues that do not interest him, such as the handling of fetuses when full term abortions go awry or when four Americans were assassinated in Libya. You can see it in his face and by his body language.
So in the few remaining days before Election Day, the pollsters will continue grinding out the numbers and the media will tell you how Romney lost the debate or is behind in some poll or another, but don’t believe it.
You know what you have witnessed from President Obama for four years. You know what you heard. You know what he has done. You saw him at the first presidential debate. He was spouting the same old stuff and even he seemed unable to swallow the Alinsky-spin.
When we have the problems in this country that we have, when we can trace the decline of our country to Obama’s policies and when we see our Constitution and our laws and the fiber of what America stands for, being eroded, we cannot afford the luxury of a negative thought.
So ask yourself: Do you want to reelect the man like Obama has proven to be, a man who promised he would use stimulus money to improve infrastructure and instead only gave us "bumps in the road?”
Hold the line, America.
