With children, it's called the Terrible Twos. No matter what you ask a two-year-old to do, the answer will always be "No!"
They are very territorial little people, throwing tantrums, picking fights with anyone who takes what they think is "theirs." And they think Everything is theirs.
Like Liberals.
At least babies are adorable when they are unreasonable.
That isn't true with elected officials, college students from "good schools," and other assorted Liberals.
They are firm in their opinions, but not so clear on the factual underpinnings. They live just to Resist and Protest.
It isn't always clear to them "What It is We Are Protesting," but whatever it is, however inappropriate their actions, they have the approval of "Leadership" from both sides of the aisle.
As long as it is against Donald Trump, they feel it's okay for a grown, chunky man to wrest a Make America Great Again hat off a teen in a burger joint, toss away the kid's soft drink and walk off with his hat.
It's okay for a grown, chunky man to confront Kellyanne Conway in a supermarket and tell her she "should be ashamed of herself" -- for going to work.
And while it makes no logical sense to oppose Judge Brett Kavanaugh on the merits, Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) do, Schumer pledging to fight Kavanaugh's nomination "with everything I have."
Both Democrats predict the Supreme Court Trump nominee will reverse Roe vs. Wade, all on his own, once he dons his Supreme Court Justice robes, only proving that they could use a good old American civics class on how it all works.
And a civics class at New York University wouldn't be misplaced, either.
This week, Campus Reform Media Director Cabot Phillips conducted a Man on the Street interview of some NYU students.
He asked them how they felt about Trump's Supreme Court nomination to replace retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy. Predictably the No-Thinking-No-Trumpers had only scathing criticism.
"I see it all over, like, the news, that he's, like, racist and shit," one fella' observed. Another felt Trump's action was a "recurring thing," with the president "doing what he wants, using his power."
A female student said confidently, "The new nomination is very racist, and is starting a new wave of something very negative."
And a professor weighed in on the reaction on social media, smugly stating that it was "outrage," she said, "as it should be."
The only flies in their ointment were that President Trump had not yet made his choice. They were protesting a non-existent Supreme Court nominee.
And didn't even know it.
It has become a national pastime for the Left to protest, across the board, anything and everything concerning Donald Trump.
This Monday screaming mobs assembled, waving signs with blanks left for the name of the Supreme Court nominee they were protesting, before they knew the man was Judge Kavanaugh.
This is the type of "dialogue" Liberals like to see.
They like political double talk, but are profoundly troubled when someone talks turkey, as President Trump did today at the NATO Summit in Brussels, Belgium.
They were incensed he rebuked Germany for purchasing energy from Russia.
"It's very sad when Germany makes a massive oil and gas deal with Russia, when we're supposed to be guarding against Russia," he said, in front of the NATO members, including Chancellor Angela Merkel.
It was wrong for Germany to support a new $11 billion Baltic Sea pipeline to import Russian gas, Trump told NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, while being slow to meet targets for NATO spending to protect against Russia.
And he reiterated his accusation that it was not fair to American taxpayers that NATO members were not "paying their fair share," and had not for decades.
That kind of talk simply isn't done in Washington. Or, apparently, in Brussels.
There were too many facts. And it was a stance that put America first.
What kind of a leader does that?
Hold the line, America.
