Another day. Another dollar.
Another $357 million dollars for Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, from his "Looks-Like-An-Insider-Trade-But-It's-Not" sell-off of his Facebook stock -- for philanthropic work... not a presidential run.
Another opportunity to listen to BS from the likes of Loretta Lynch and Mark Zuckerberg, the latest players in the Take Down Donald Trump Conspiracy. This week we heard a lot of PYA phrases from them, both anxious to get ahead of The Bad News they each think is coming their way.
For Lynch it is the imminent release of the Department of Justice Inspector General's report, on how the FBI handled the criminal investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's mishandling of classified information.
And Jim Comey's "Tell All" book, due to be released next week.
For Zuckerberg it was possible government regulation of his company, coming after Facebook's Left-Leaning censorship of Conservatives, but especially after 87 million Facebook users had their personal data breached.
Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, like her predecessor Eric Holder, has shamelessly politicized the office, violating both ethical and legal standards during her tenure.
Appointed by Bill Clinton, and promised a job by "thought to be shoo-in" presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, Lynch made decisions designed to help elect Hillary, and depended on Hillary's success to cover up her own Deep State tracks.
Clinton didn't win, and when she didn't, it all fell apart. The Deep State was revealed in all its depravity.
This week, during a soft interview with NBC's Lester Holt, Lynch was allowed to make light of her duplicitous "We-Talked-About-Grandchildren-Tarmac-Meeting" with Bill Clinton. A meeting which took place while his wife was under investigation by the FBI. And, while she was at it, Lynch called Jim Comey's "candor" into question.
Last year, former FBI Director Comey testified before a Congressional Committee. He claimed that Lynch urged him to soft-pedal the Clinton investigation, by calling it a "matter," rather than an "investigation." He claimed he was upset. That he was conflicted.
When asked, Lynch denied it. She told Holt that was not true. That whatever meeting took place, was just that. An ordinary meeting. In the meanwhile, by engaging in this nonsense, neither Comey nor Lynch did anything to restore the tarnished reputation of the DOJ and FBI.
And, if you didn't already know it, after Congressional questioning, Zuckerberg also emerged as an Obama/Hillary supporter. And honorary Deep Stater! Who knew?
Well, maybe you had a hint. This week Carol Davidsen, media director for Obama's 2012 presidential campaign, came forward, tweeting that Facebook allowed them to "mine American users' profiles." "They came to the office in the days following the election recruiting," she said, "and were very candid that they allowed us to do things they wouldn't have allowed someone else to do because they were on our side."
When asked, Zuckerberg denied it.
But the real biggie from the hearings, was Zuckerberg's bombshell statement: "I'm working with Robert Mueller!" He didn't say why, but I bet you can guess!
We know the mainstream media has a policy of not reporting news it doesn't like. And Lester Holt kept the custom going. He never mentioned that were it not for one local reporter, Christopher Sign of ABV15 in Phoenix, no one would ever have known about the 30-minute meeting, at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, between Bill and Loretta. The same thing goes for Zuckerberg's facilitation of Obama's re-election.
All of the Deep State "collusion" would have gone away, if Hillary had been elected.
To his credit, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) stepped up to the plate and asked Zuck a question we all wanted to ask.
"There are a great many Americans who I would say are deeply concerned that Facebook and other tech companies are engaged in a pervasive pattern of bias and political censorship," the senator said.
There were instances, Cruz said, where Conservative thoughts were suppressed, as with the IRS/Lois Lerner scandal, and with Conservative Trump supporters Diamond and Silk, who were banned by Facebook, because, Facebook decided, the content was "unsafe to the community."
It was a beautiful moment.
Throughout his testimony, we heard Zuckerberg repeat we "all agree" that there is "hate speech," and that we need to identify what "quality news looks like."
The question should have been asked: Who defines the terms, Mark? You?
Hold the line, America.
