"Isn't it funny how day by day, nothing changes, But when you look back, everything is different." C.S. Lewis

Drip, drip, drip.
Water dripping on a rock eventually wears the rock away.
Until it isn't there anymore.
It's the same with liberties. Once you give them away, little by little, they're gone forever.
The Founding Fathers had t-shirts that said, "Been there, done that," because they had done and seen it all when it came to dealing with King George.
There was the "Taxation without representation" things he did that got under their skin. But it was the British gun control program that bothered them the most.
England didn't like colonists having muskets."Subjects" were too hard to control when they had firearms. Especially after the Crown angered them by levying burdensome taxes, such as the Stamp Act, to pay off the French and Indian War.
In 1763, England commanded that "the inhabitants of this Province are to be disarmed."
By 1774, the British were conducting warrantless searches, and seizing firearms in Boston.
And following the battles at Lexington and Concord in 1775, Gen. Thomas Gage ordered the inhabitants of Boston to turn in their arms for "temporary safekeeping."
They did, and when they did their firearms were never returned.
Funny how history tends to repeat itself.
In the past few weeks, shootings in El Paso and Dayton have handed Democrats the Perfect Storm to push for the confiscation of guns from citizens.
To push for Red Flag Laws.
"These laws claim to make society safer by providing an expedited and streamlined process to keep firearms out of the hands of 'unstable' or 'potentially violent individuals,'" writes The Hill's Tony Lovasco.
But Red Flag laws won't keep criminals, or crazy, angry people from enbarking on a killing spree. And they wouldn't have changed any of the incidents which have occurred in the past.
It will only serve to abolish the Second Amendment. Which is the real goal of the Socialist-Democrats.
If such laws were passed, a judge could issue an order to take your guns without you being present;
Once a protective order was issued, law enforcement would be dispatched to search your property and seize your weapons;
But most importantly, a judge could adjudicate cases based on uncorroborated claims made by a single individual. Someone "turning in his neighbor."
Such as Jerry Nadler against Donald Trump?
Or Representatives Tlaib and Omar against any Jew?
Whenever anyone says a bill is "bi-partisan," it never is.
"The policies employed by the British, including confiscation of firearms and importation of them, tells us not only the purpose of the Second Amendment, but its relevance within the context of today's gun control debate," so says gun rights advocate David Kopel, in his "How the British Gun Control Program Precipitated the Amercan Revolution."
Our Founding Fathers knew what surrendering their weapons to a despotic government would mean.
So they fought it.
And they specifically created the Second Amendment, so something like that would never happen again.
There are already plenty of existing federal gun control laws (See NRA, Citizen's Guide to Federal Firearms Laws - Summary.)
Included are persons adjudicated as mental defectives.
Those convicted of crimes punishable by imprisonment for over one year.
Those dishonorably discharged from the Armed Forces.
Unlawful users of certain depressed, narcotic or stimulant drugs. And others.
We don't need more laws. What we do need are leaders who do not flaunt their disrespect and disregard for our laws. As part of their platforms.
Advocating for open borders.
Expressing disdain for law enforcement, ICE, border patrol agents, and the police.
And supporting sanctuary cities and states.
It is a tragedy that these people are the Democrats running for the office of president of the United States, many of them lawyers who should know better.
When they encourage violatation of our laws, crazy, angry people listen to them. And what they hear is, "Go ahead! Break any law you want."
If you hand your rights to the wrong people, you will find yourself in a real "1984."
So ask yourself. Are Joe Biden, Cory Booker, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris and Julian Castro the kind of people whom you would trust to protect your right to bear arms? To protect the Constitution?
Are they the kind of people who put their money where their mouths are when it comes to protecting America?Like our Founding Fathers did?
Or is it about their fundamentally transforming America? Like Obama did.
Hold the line, America.
