It took flipping his Range Rover into a ditch to convince Prince Philip it was time to turn in his car keys.
But some people never get the Wake-Up Call.
Like Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY). and Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT). Elder statesmen, and I do mean elder.
From Cradle to Congress, their feet have never touched the ground in a real world job. Politics is all they know.
Like Prince Philip, these elected members of Congress have no idea how we Commoners live. And no interest in finding out.
So is it any wonder they are unwilling to work to find Common Ground to protect the American people from an invasion of illegal immigrants?
Why they won't "Go to the Wall" for a border wall to protect our country's borders?
Now, if we were petty, we could Conspiracy-Theorize that these Democrats are waiting to load up the country will illegals so what happened in 2016 doesn't happen in 2020. Which would mean they are working. Just not for the American people.
And really, how can you blame them? What else are they to do?
They don't have Debbie Wasserman Schultz in the DNC to sideline political hopefuls, the way she did with Bernie.
They don't have Donna Brazile to leak debate questions to Democrat candidates, the way she did with Hillary.
So they encourage the "Tired, poor, huddled masses" to come on in. To create New Democrat voters.
They turn a blind eye when members of their own Party lean farther to the Left in an attempt to turn the United States into a Socialist country.
And they ignore "immoral" transgressions by members of their own Party, a Virginia governor who is fondly referred to as "Coon man," and Democrat Congresswomen who publicly and proudly parade their anti-Semitism.
They're a funky bunch, especially those Democrats running for president. One thinks she's an American Indian. Another that he's Spartacus. And, like the humble Barack Obama before her, AOC thinks she's a cross between Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln.
Left unrestrained as they are by The Leadership (that's Pelosi), we Commoners are slated to lose our cars, planes and Elsie the Cow.
And that's not all. Just yesterday Sen. Corey Booker, also a presidential candidate, hosted a luncheon which served totally vegan fare.
That doesn't seem like a good sign.
Pelosi commented on the climate bill backed by Rep. Ocasio-Cortez at a press conference last week. And it was Obamacare legislation deja vu all over again.
"Frankly, I haven't seen it," the head of the Democrat Party said, "but I do know it's enthusiastic and I welcome all the enthusiasm that is out there."
As don't we all.
Pelosi was so welcoming of "the enthusiasm," she appointed three freshmen to the Climate Panel, but Ocasio-Cortez was not among them.
Naturally, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) supports a Green New Deal, and so does Sen. Bernie, just as they support Medicare for every Tom, Dick and Pancho, and free everything else. But somehow, none of them ever get around to explaining how they are going to pay for the bright, new Socialist agenda.
And this may be a Craw-Sticker. For some.
Democrats have assumed that those who carry water for them will be all in for a Socialistic future. The ones who are eager to make the Rich "pay their fair share."
But that might not be so.
Cardi B, the Grammy-Award-Winning rapper doesn't like paying the taxes she already pays.
"Uncle Sam, I want to know what you're doing with my f****ing taxes," she said on Instagram.
"I'm from New York and the streets are always dirty...I know you're not spending it in no damn prison because y'all be giving n****** two underwears, one jumpsuit for, like five months.
"A lot of artists like me, and a lot of rappers I know, they literally care of their whole family, and that's not tax reductible, because the IRS don't consider that a 'business.'"
From her fuzzy semi-bustier, to her stylistically ripped jeans, the 25-year-old is mad. That Uncle Sam is taking 40 percent of her earnings.
Can you imagine how she's going to feel under The New Green Socialism when she's taxed at 90 percent? And when she has to pay for coverage of "economic security for all who are unable or unwilling to work?"
Yeah. That's in Ocasio-Cortez' bill, too. It makes you want to party like it's 1984.
