Marie Antoinette stuck her neck out when she said, "Let them eat cake."
She was speakng about the peasants, who had no bread.
In the long run, it didn't work out so well for Marie, but it works just fine for Democrats.
Pretending to be what they are not.
Making believe they are concerned, when all they really want is to live at Versailles.
It works just fine for Democrats because they have an advantage Marie never had. They have Saul Alinsky.
They can use the tools of this other "Community Organizer," "Champion of the Poor and Downtrodden," by practicing his "Politics of Personal Destruction."
Because it works.
Stigmatize your opponents, so they never recover.
Call them "Racists," "Sexists," "Islamophobes," "Homophobes."
And don't forget "Stupid." Look what "Stupid" did to Sarah Palin.
After perky Katie Couric interviewed the 2008 Vice Presidential Candidate, Palin never recovered, while Perky Katie was given awards.
The Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award.
The Walter Cronkite Award.
For her "extraordinary, persistent and detailed" interviews with Palin, which judges called "a defining moment in the 2008 presidential campaign.'
It's the way things are done.
It's what they are doing to The Donald, but much to their dismay, it isn't working.
This week Radio Television Digital News awarded CNN's Jeff Zucker with "The First Amendment Award!" Shepard Smith got one, too.
Go figure.
Democrats and their media sycophants practice a "No Holds Barred-Chicago Style of Politics." But even if you're "one of them," you're not safe.
As we speak, the bodies of people whom Democrats have declared to be "unreliable," are piling up.
Attorney General William Barr is the latest.
After reviewing Special Counsel Mueller's Report, Barr concluded that "the evidence is not sufficient" to charge President Trump with obstruction of justice. Democrat fav Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein joined in the decision, but that didn't make any difference.
Sen. Schumer (D-NY) and Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) still called, "Bring out your dead."
That could include Rosenstein, and after his "There Was No Russian Collusion" report, Mueller could soon follow.
The latest fashion in Democrat Identity Politics involves skin color. You must apologize. If you're white.
It's not exactly what Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had in mind.
This week at a New York event, Democrat Presidential Placeholder Uncle Joe Biden called on Americans to "change the white man's culture."
He said he regretted that Anita Hill was forced to testify "before a bunch of white guys," who "didn't fully understand her perspective," regarding her sexual harrassment claim. He likened it to what was "done to" Christine Blasey Ford.
Those "white guys" were the Senate Judiciary Committee.
The hearing was the Senate confirmation hearings for Clarence Thomas.
And Uncle Joe chaired the Committee.
But during his speech, Joe never said he regretted what was "done to" Clarence Thomas. Or Brett Kavanaugh.
"White Privilege" is the other Democrat soup de jour.
Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam told CBS's Gayle King he had a "teachable moment" when it was disclosed he either did, or didn't, dress in either black face, or as a Ku Klux Klansman, in med school.
He said he learned "that I was born in white privilege." And that was bad.
Oh, and that he's not going to give up the governor's mansion.
"Rock Star" candidate Robert "Beto" O'Rourke feels the same way. So he apologized for being white. And male. And having White Privilege.
Folding like cheap suits. Not fighting against politics based on the color of one's skin. Or one's religion. Aiming cheap shots at whomever dares cross them. These are Democrats.
But all they had to do was wait. For Black Privilege.
It happened this week when 16 felony charges were dropped, expunged, the record sealed, against black Hoax Promoter Jussie Smollett.
It continued while Smollett family friend, black State's Attorney Kim Foxx recused herself, then brokered a deal with Smollett friend, Michelle Obama, who allegedly told her former chief of staff, Tina Tchen, to fix it all.
So far no one has apologized for Black Privilege.
With all this going on, Out-of-Touch presidential candidate Kristen Gillibrand (D-NY) called President Trump "a coward," who is "destroying the moral fiber of the country."
And she did it while standing outside the Trump International Hotel, denouncing it as a "shrine to greed, division and vanity."
It's the way it's done.
I bet Sen. Gillibrand will donate her salary, the way President Trump does, when she becomes president.
After all, isn't that the way it should be done?
