If you have a boyfriend, and the first thing you want to do is change him, he's probably not the guy for you.
Same goes for countries. Like ours.
Ask any Democrat, any day of the week, what they like about America, and they'd be hard-pressed to tell you.
Like Hope-and-Change Obama. Like the Socialist-Anti-Semitic-Tlaib-Omar-AOC Triumvirate. And the Missing In Action Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. (Has anyone seen her lately?)
Justice Ginsburg's job is to interpret and apply the U.S. Constitution. But in 2012 she told an Egyptian TV station that she would not recommend using the U.S. Constitution as a model for Egypt's new government.
It is "a rather old Constitution," she said, and, if you're writing' one, she recommended looking to the Constitution of South Africa.
That's the country where white farmers are currently being murdered by violent black gangs, and their land seized by the government.
Last night, President Trump delivered his State of the Union Address. He did a good job, and earned the salary that he doesn't take.
His speech was a homage to what America is. And it was an inspirational speech.
The Response to the SOTU by failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams was quite the opposite.
She paraded out her resume, as if still on the campaign trail, grinned inappropriately, and highlighted what she thinks are America's shortcomings, among them, voter suppression, a Republican tax bill she said was "rigged against working people," and an immigration policy which "cages children and tears families apart."
It didn't do much to raise the spirits, and, all in all, was just another disgruntled rant by a Loser who couldn't accept losing.
The "Democrat Ladies in White" weren't much better. They donned Suffragette garb, in feminine solidarity for rights they already have, conducting themselves unlike the members of Congress that they are.
The fact is, Trump didn't start this fire. It started 57 years ago, in the Kapi'olani Medical Center in Hawaii.
It had its beginnings as Barack Hussein Obama sat in his childhood home, and listened to his Communist mentor, Frank Marshall Davis. And it continued while he sat in Rev. Jeremiah Wright's Trinity United Church of Christ, listening to Black Liberation Theology, which encouraged a victimization mentality among the black parishioners. Which was anti-Semitic, anti-white, anti-America.
This is the root cause of the disturbing movement we are witnessing within the Democrat Party. Yet the name of Barack Obama is never mentioned.
It is the root cause of the corruption that occurred during the Obama administration, in the FBI, the Department of Justice, by bad actors in the Deep State. Yet the name of Barack Obama is never mentioned.
Last night President Trump took it on. He stated clearly that America will not become a Socialist country.
Which made Bernie scowl.
He condemned the Full-term Abortion Legislation passed in New York.
Which made Chuck Schumer scowl.
But in the end, the speech served to reveal, in bas relief, the petty politics which are being played by Democrats.
It served to reveal a president who puts America and Americans first. He said what Americans wanted to say.
Mark Levin also said it in one of his radio broadcasts last month.
"I've never liked being bullied. I've never liked being dictated to. And I've resisted.
"The Constitution is ours.
"The history of this country is ours.
"Free market capitalism is ours. And nobody has the right to take it away. Whether it's an individual, a group of individuals, or a government.
"It's about Liberty. It's in my DNA."
Ours, too.
