Constitutional Head Games

"No time ever seems right. To talk about the reasons why you and I fight. It's high time to draw the line. Put an end to this game before it's too late. Head games, I can't take it anymore." Head Games, Foreigner

It wasn't the best of times. In fact, it was the worst of times.

Instead of sleigh bells ringing, and chestnuts roasting on an open fire, the Architects of Impeachment were burning the midnight oil in the House of Representatives.

Preparing to impeach Donald Trump.

It was a time of lawlessness. And the Constitution was having a tough time.

In New York, 70-year-old Paul Manafort was serving seven years on tax and fraud charges, thanks to Special Counsel Robert Mueller digging down deep to find a crime.

But everyone knew he went to prison because he knew Donald Trump.

At Chico State University in California, instructor Lindsay Biggs was reconfiguring the First Amendment.

Biggs referred to Trump as "poison" in a tweet, and, according to Breitbart, suggested she and other professors use the "immense privilege" they have as tenured professors, to "protect students who were offended by their classmates exercising their First Amendment rights, to support President Trump."

"The First Amendment protects our Republican Club students to voice their support for Trump and their support for the Republican Party," Briggs said. "That is intensely hurtful to many of our students on campus."

"Our students need us," Briggs said sadly. "They need to know that even if the law can't protect them from hurt and sadness, their faculty and staff will hold them in those hard spots."

In D.C., attendees of a pro-Trump group, Women for America First, were looking forward to participating in Wreaths Across America at Arlington Cemetery, and enjoying the White House Christmas Trour.

Instead they were harassed by guests attending a "high profile Democrat wedding," held in a room adjacent to theirs at the Willard Hotel.

The Trump supporters were called "MAGA trash," "Nazis," and "C*nts," a press release from the group reported

"As the evening came to a close, our guest speaker, former Navy SEAL and FBI agent, Jonathan T. Gilliam, helped escort guests out of the venue.

"During this time, the best man refused to allow people on the elevator, saying, "You're only allowed if you respect your ovaries."

Later, as Gilliam escorted guests down a stairwell, "the alleged best man in the wedding party and several other individuals began verbally taunting him and the women he was protecting."

"Subsequently Jonathan was physically attcked by approximately 4-6 attendees of the wedding party who piled on attempting to choke and beat him."

In California, the United Methodist Church decided to celebrate the birth of Christ by politicizing the Nativity, displaying the Holy Family held in separate cages.

"In a time in our country when refugee families seek asylum at our borders, and are unwillingly separted from one another," the Church's senior minister, the Rev. Karen Clark Ristine posted on Facebook, "What if this family sought refuge in our country today?"

Just this week on Fox and Friends, when Supreme Court Justice Gorsuch greeted host Ainsley Earhardt with "Merry Christmas," all hell broke out in Liberal America.

NetFlix, the new home of Susan Rice and the Obamas, celebrated the season by releasing a film depicting a gay Jesus, and his mom as a marajuana-smoking madonna.

And today the House voted to impeach.

Iin January the Senate will deliberate on the fate of the president. Among the unbiased jurors, Hoover Institute Fellow Victor Davis Hanson observed, will be senators who are running against him for the presidency.

The Constitution may have taken a beating this year, but Conservatives and Trump supporters aren't quitting.

"Sadly, attacks on Trump supporters are commonplace in public," Women for America First stated in their press release.

"But to have this experience at a private event is simply beyone the pale, and exposes the lengths the Left will go to silence and marginalize those who support this president.

"They may continue to attempt to intimidate and shut us down, but we will not be silenced. Our movement will continue to grow as Democrats continue to expose their true selves, we will not be deterred."

In this tarnished Chirstmas Season, it seems the rules are, If you can't indict, change the law.

And if you can't win in an election, impeach.

Hold the line, America.
Where We Go One, We Go All
Stay strong, Patriots.
