Who can resist a smile on hearing that Rep. Liz Cheney is out on her ear, House Republicans having removed her as conference chair.
(The only thing which might have been better, was hearing that Utah Republicans booed Sen. Mitt Romney at a state party convention last Saturday.)
After her removal, with characteristic good grace, Chaney said, "I will do everything I can to ensure that the former president never again gets anywhere near the Oval Office."
NPR reported she was removed because of her "unyielding criticism of former President Donald Trump, his continued false claims of a stolen election, his role in the Jan. 6 riot and his future in the Republican Party
But, that's not what happened. Cheney, like NPR may be supported by taxpayer money, but the people don't like the way either of them handle themselves, both partisan hacks.
And they can't blame that on Trump.
The Donald commented on the ouster. "Liz Cheney is a bitter, horrible human being," he wrote.
"I watched her yesterday and I realized how bad she is for the Republican Party. She has no personality or anything good having to do with politics or our Country."
Gee. Don't you miss that kind of expert analysis?
Hang tough.
