Katie Couric has always thought she was adorable. But it was also always clear that she was a girl who would walk over her own mother to get to the top.
And besides, no one believed her cutesy pose, except other Democrats.
This week she explained who Trump voters/supporters are. To Bill Maher.
"Class resentment, and anti-intellectualism and elitism is what is driving many of these anti-establishment, which are Trump voters, the anti-establishment voters.
"I don't know if you've ever been jealous of what someone else has, or resentful. It is such a corroding and bitter, almost vile feeling." Which is what I think Katie has experienced herself.
"I think that when people are really struggling see people who have everything and are on top of that looking down on them. It is just a recipe for such anger and resentment and grievance."
To translate: Trump voters are jealous and dumb. And the only reason they vote for Trump is because they are angry and resentful of those who have more brains and money than they do. They didn't go to college. Don't have careers. And don't have any money. At least according to Katie.
Remember Couric, who has no problem telling you "what is," was the one who spoke disparaginly about female colleague reporters, and who changed Justice Ginsburg's quotes when she interviewed her, because Couric thought she knew what Ginsburg meant, better than Ginsburg did. Look it up. It's a mea culpa in Katie's book, "Going There."
Hang tough.
