A drivers license is probably everyone's favorite possession. Driving spells freedom. So when an old person voluntarily feels it's time to turn their license in, it's an act of heroism.

It's lucky for all of us that Joe Biden and Mitch McConnell both have drivers, because it's way past time for them to cease driving, and holding office. Today McConnell announced that he is stepping down as Senate Minority Leader. 

He said it was time, but he didn't say he was unable to do the job. McConnell had two public incidents of brain freeze on camera, when he was unable to speak and had to be led away by one of his assistants.

McConnell says he will stay in the leadership role until November, and as senator through to 2027! It's sad, but when she would't voluntarily leave, a severely mentally compromised and physically ill Sen. Dianne Feinstein had to be carried out of the Senate. 

Term limits and medical checks. Definitely needed. We saw that as Nancy Pelosi and Joe tottered across the tarmac last week. Getting older is no picnic. But knowing when it's time to leave the fair is the price you have to pay.
