How bad do you have to feel that you want to make everyone else miserable for being themselves?
Apparently pretty bad.
Chief Diversity Officer Dr. Sherita H. Golden issued a message in the Johns Hopkins Medicine's January newsletter, which included a list of descriptions of who are "privileged," with "Privilege" as the diversity word of the month.
"Privileged is an unearned benefit given to people who are in a specific social group," Golden's message read.
"Privilege operates on personal, interpersonal, cultural and institutional levels, and it provides advantages and favors to members of dominant groups at the expense of members of other groups," the newsletter stated.
Her list? "White people, able-bodied people, heterosexuals, cisgender people, males, Christians, middle or owning class people, middle-aged people, and English-speaking people."
I think she left out arrogant, unncessary officers of diversity at colleges, who harbor an antipathy for anyone different from herself.
Hang tough.
