There are some people who are so cheap, they squeak. I don't know what that means, but I do know cheap when I see it. And apparently squeaking has something to do with it.
Back in 2022, Joe was fundraising in LA and stopped to buy himself some lunch at Taco 1986. The food he chose cost $16. 45. So here are some interesting facts about El Cheapo:
First: He "dined" with local Democrat lawmakers, LA Mayor Karen Bass, and LA County Supervisor Hilda Solis, but his final bill indicates he might or might not have paid for the ladies' lunches. He ordered four extra tacos de pollo, so maybe they were for Bass and Solis.
Not fancy, but at least he fed them.
Secondly he left a "tip." "Here," Joe told the cashier, "let me give you another $45, and the next person who comes in, give it to them free."
Despite evidence to the contrary, Joe always said he was the poorest person in Congress. Whatever. He's certainly the cheapest.
Yesterday, after being arraigned in a Miami court, after being indicted by Joe's flunkies, The Donald stopped for a bite to eat at the Cuban restaurant Versailles.
The people cheered him. Supporters sang Happy Birthday to him, and it was more than CNN's Jake Tapper could stand. He turned off the footage.
"I don't need to see any more of that," Tapper groused. "He's trying to turn it into a spectacle and into a campaign ad. That is enough of that. We've seen it already."
Better get ready to see much, much more of it, Jake. Trump ain't done yet. Oh, and by the way. You doubtlessly missed it, but Trump paid for everyone's lunch while he was there.
Everyone's.
Hang tough.
