Sean Hannity talks too much. He held a Town Hall with President Trump last night. And he talked too much. And I know why.
He's protecting his rear. He's subtly moving away from Trump. He likes having dinner with him, but he's afraid if he's too much in Trump's camp, he'll be given the old heave ho. And he deserves to be. He's even had to give free tickets to his shows, so he can feel the love.
But the love is gone. If he was interviewing Jesus, he'd tell him all about being crucified, before he let Jesus speak.
Monday they rolled out "the new lineup" on Fox. Which means they shifted people around because no one watches Fox since Tucker Carlson was fired. And they're all scared.
They should be. And the "new lineup" with Hannity, Ingraham, Watters and Gutfeld striding forward, like the opening of Law and Order, was pitiful. And a sustained photo of Hannity at the end of the Town Hall, instead of the man people wanted to see, Trump.
But, oh well. That's what happens when you take Paul Ryan's advice.
Hang tough.
