It never hurts to revisit history. It keeps us, as they say, from repeating it. And It keeps us humble.
Big Pharma has gotten too big for its britches. In TV ads, "victims" are heard claiming they are struggling to "examine their relationship to food." That was something that was never a problem for Americans during the Depression.
But today's whining psychological fatties don't think about how ungrateful they sound, because they probably haven't been taught about the Great Depression.
That was the time in American history when there were bread lines, no jobs, and people didn't have the luxury of examining their relationship to food, because there wasn't any. Food, that is.
Today we have a problem with mental obesity, not physical.
In the Olden Days, let's say 1960 and earlier, people were trim and healthy. Look at the movies from back then. It was before there were food additives and artificial drugs for every real and manufactured illness. When people ate moderately, didn't need to carry beverages with them everywhere to "hydrate." When no one "worked out at the gym," but instead mowed their own lawns, raked their own leaves, and walked.
So it's good Bobby K. is on the scene. He should tackle the FDA with its approval of drugs despite their horrible side effects. And it's a good idea to remove chemicals from our food. The bountiful food we should be grateful to have.
Hang tough.
